Let's Make It

Hoop Stabilizer. Cutaway used here
Run Step 1, placement stitch

Place your vinyl or cork right side up, making sure it fully covers all placement lines. Secure in place with tape to prevent any shifting during stitching.
Stitch the detail steps—these will vary depending on your specific keyfob design. Refer to the included color layer chart for a breakdown of each fill step.

After stitching is complete, flip your hoop to the back.
Place another piece of vinyl over the placement stitches, right side facing up toward you, and secure it firmly in place.

Place the hoop back on your machine and run the vinyl outline step.
Once stitching is finished, your keyfob should look similar on both the front and back.

Remove the keyfob from the hoop and trim around the edges. For tips on trimming vinyl projects, check out the video linked below.
After trimming, your keyfob should resemble the example shown here.

To attach the hardware, insert your keyfob into the keyfob hardware as shown in the example.
Make sure the claw portion is placed in the back of the keyfob

Using the keyfob tool, gently squeeze the hardware partially closed. Once you've confirmed the keyfob is straight, give it another gentle squeeze to fully secure the hardware in place.
Don’t toss the plastic edge protectors on your keyfob tool (like I did!) — they help prevent scratches while pressing the hardware.

A simple and effective way to attach key rings is by using a staple remover.
Slide the staple remover between the coils of the key ring to gently pry it open.

Twist the key ring to slide it on and secure it in place.
Magic! Enjoy your new Keyfob.
